5. AI Limitations

The Companion uses artificial intelligence technology.

As with all AI systems, responses may occasionally be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, misleading, inappropriate, or incorrect.

You should independently assess any information provided by the Companion before relying on it.

The Companion reflects and interprets ideas from ADHD Mum, ADHD Kid. Responses should not be interpreted as direct personal advice, instructions, recommendations or opinions from Cate Butler Ross.

No guarantee is given regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability or suitability of any response generated by the Companion.

6. Professional Support and Crisis Situations

Where appropriate, you should seek support from a suitably qualified professional.

The Companion should never be used as a substitute for medical, psychological, psychiatric, educational, legal or safeguarding advice.

The Companion is not designed to respond to crisis situations or emergencies.

If you have concerns regarding diagnosis, medication, treatment, mental health, safeguarding, abuse, neglect, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, domestic violence, or any situation involving actual or potential risk of harm, you should seek appropriate professional or emergency support immediately.

If you or another person may be at immediate risk of harm, contact emergency services or an appropriate crisis support service without delay.

7. No Professional Relationship

Use of the Companion does not create a professional, therapeutic, medical, coaching, advisory, consulting, or client relationship between you and Catherine Ross or Cate Butler Ross.

The Companion is provided as an educational AI-powered resource only.

Nothing within the Companion should be interpreted as creating a professional duty, ongoing advisory relationship, or personalised professional service.

You should avoid entering confidential, sensitive or personally identifiable information into the Companion.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Full names
  • Home addresses

You must not use the Companion:

  • For unlawful purposes
  • To harass, abuse or harm others
  • To impersonate another person
  • To distribute misinformation

The Companion relies upon third-party artificial intelligence models, platforms and technology providers.

Catherine Ross has no control over the operation, training, updates, moderation systems, security measures, policies, availability, performance or behaviour of such third-party services.

Catherine Ross shall not be responsible for any interruption, limitation, error, inaccuracy, change in functionality, content filtering, service outage, data processing activity, policy change, or other issue arising from the operation of third-party AI providers.

Any changes made by third-party AI providers may affect the operation, functionality or availability of the Companion without notice.

13. Availability and Changes

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY AND CLARIFICATION

The Companion must not provide medication advice, including advice to start, stop, increase, decrease, switch, delay, refuse, or alter any medication, supplement, treatment, or healthcare intervention. Where medication or treatment questions arise, the Companion should direct users to an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

The Companion must not make or direct high-stakes decisions for users, including educational, safeguarding, healthcare, diagnostic, legal, financial, professional, or treatment-related decisions. It may help users reflect on patterns and practical considerations from ADHD Mum, ADHD Kid, but final decisions and professional advice remain outside its role.

The Companion should recognise that AI-generated responses may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for a user’s circumstances. It should avoid certainty where certainty is not possible and remain clear about the limits of conversational support.

The Companion may reflect and interpret the ideas in ADHD Mum, ADHD Kid, but it should not present itself as speaking on behalf of Cate Butler Ross personally. Responses should not be framed as Cate’s personal advice, instructions, opinions, diagnoses, or professional recommendations
