Hey, I’m Cate
I’ve spent more than 20 years helping people turn ideas into compelling content, first as a journalist and editor for some of the UK’s bestselling magazines, and now as a book strategist and editorial partner for nonfiction authors.
What I’ve learnt is that for many authors, the hardest part of writing a book isn’t actually writing well– it’s the hours wasted writing in tangents attempting to get to the heart of their book, and structure all their ideas.
But you don’t have to do it all alone.
Whether I’m critiquing a single chapter or helping shape an entire manuscript, my role is to provide the clarity, perspective and strategic feedback that keeps good books moving forward.

Every Book Blueprint is bespoke, so the first step is a short enquiry form and discovery call.
We’ll talk about your book idea, where you are in the process, and what kind of support would be most useful. Most clients begin with a Book Report, where we clarify the premise, promise, audience and positioning before moving into the detailed blueprint work.
Once we know the right next step, I’ll recommend the scope and send a bespoke proposal.
