I’ve worked with non-fiction authors since 2013 — but it wasn’t until a client asked for help writing a book for her business that the lightbulb went on.

Who is Cate?
I’m a ghostwriter, editor and book mentor with 20 years of experience turning big ideas into compelling stories.
Starting out as a national magazine journalist, one of my specialties was first-person features for household names like Sharon Osbourne, Mary Berry, Joe Malone, David Attenborough and Roger Moore. Editors came to me because I could capture a voice, pull out the real story, and make it feel personal, powerful, and true.
Today, I bring that same skillset to entrepreneurs and experts. I take their transformational frameworks, and message, frame it with their stories and capture their true voice. I’ve ghostwritten and edited multiple books (including two of my own), and supported over 20 authors to shape manuscripts that reflect their vision, serve their audience, and move their business forward.

What if I don't have a clear idea yet?
Then you’re in exactly the right place. Read Magnet® is designed to help you clarify not just what your book is about — but why it matters, who it’s for, and how it fits into your business. It’s not just about outlining something book-shaped, it’s about working out what is the right book for your business, and creating a blueprint to make it happen.
What if I've already started writing?
You can still take huge value from the programme even if you’ve started drafting already, and especially if you’ve hit a wall. Whether you’ve got 10K words down or 10 messy post-its, Read Magnet® will help you zoom out, hone your positioning, sharpen your structure, and make sure you’re writing the right book. (The one that’s actually going to have a lasting impact for you and your readers).
How much time will this take each week?
Plan for around 2–3 hours a week. That covers the weekly live call (or replay), doing the exercises, and working through your blueprint. You may find as the week’s go on you want to set aside a little more time to go deeper (especially when you’re putting together your outline), but you won’t need full “writer’s retreat” mode to get results.
What if I can't make the calls?
It’s highly recommended you do try to make the calls, and once our cohort is complete I will schedule the calls to ensure maximum attendance. But if you can’t make them live for whatever reason, replays are uploaded within 24 hours, and you’ll still get the full benefit of the framework, tools, and templates. There’s also a space for asynchronous feedback and questions, so you’re not left behind.
